I think the MILK one uses Agar. But you could do oil and a carbomer too

Could you try a liposome?

Full % and Methods would help. Triethanolamine is used in pretty low concentrations- is it solubolizing the salicylic acid at 2% PG would work with a bit of alcohol. SA should also bring the pH down..maybe try some citric acid?

Why don’t you try a powder surfactant? It will probably work better.

Sorry I have no idea where I read that. I worked with peels a lot in a past life and that is still ringing around in my head. But chemical peels do not sizzle away forever.

Most providers just leave it on. It’s fresh for a few minutes. And yes every 4 to 6 weeks.

@PhilGeis
right? That is my biggest worry. I’m not sure how there have not been more recalls on these kinds of products -

Look at marketed products from major brands. Wouldn’t put much confidence in Glyceryl caprylate. “caprate”
Will formula, package, implement and anticipated use bring water/Aw into consideration?
Consider parabensThanks. Paraben would be my choice too but the no no list is loooong. So I’m thinking anhydrous will be safest

I use Polyacrylate Crosspolymer-6 and it works perfectly and stays clear.

It neutralizes pretty fast. They may even start to see salt fro sal acid on skin. I’ve read sal acid will neutralize in about 2 minutes on skin. It’s very common to just leave it on. Some peeling may occur about 3-5 days after

You’re so right! Win some loose some with clients eating up time. I’ve framed the samples for an existing formula (just wanting to manufacture) as not including specialty ingredients, I will specify when I see the formulas. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Perry. It certainly seems the most reasonable.

Thanks for this! Since we are small we get some hobbyists expecting us to just produce their kitchen creation. I’ll set up some hourly rates and minimums ????????
