Usually they just choose to leave out the ingredients that do not have pretty and natural names. 🙁 This also helps keep ‘copy cats’ to a minimum.

Regarding the baby lotion….I am always amazed…at what a robust emulsifier cetyl alcohol is…stand alone. ???? ???? Don’t even start….with all the potential allergens!
Apparently their MODUS OPERANDI is: Don’t list anything without a pretty name. 🙂

Probably cost…and by product channels. Animal fats…are going to head directly to the dog and cat food companies. So the stearic people will look for a less competitive source. Think…cost, Cost, COST…they will always go to the cheapest source of feedstock. Slaughter houses…generally don’t have a trash can….every part gets used. 🙂

This whole line-up….seems to be stand-up comedy material….They seem to have made a nice lotion…without an emulsifier. ???? (And apparently never heard of a chelate.)
Apparently their theme of “Free of this and that”….also includes…intellect.

Pretty much….
But to answer your next question…. don’t think you can get this fine of grind….at home. 🙂

Is my brain not working? Wouldn’t you just add the acid until q.s? Till you reached the target pH?
-
I believe this is using the latest scam: Pine extvolat.
I’m sure the Leucidal folks…will be lining up for this. 🙂
But with so many extracts….so many places to hide the real preservative. ????

None of us are Daniel….we cannot guess Nebuchadnezzar’s dream.
So…answering your question….you have too much of something. Your turn to guess. 🙂

If it is simply….butters recrystalizing….then search ChemicalMatt’s comments on this topic….as he has answered it half a dozen times…. (Maybe search under polyglyceryl’s.)

Otherwise…tag team it with L-Arginine…and brag about the use of amino acids…in the marketing. 🙂

Fermented oils are all the rage now.
Yes…they add some bug food….to feed the bugs…. But this is a huge biz…in Korean skincare…and elsewhere.
So to answer your question….of course it is an oil.
Concept is…break that triglyceride bond…so you can get some value out of the FA’s.

Do you have any links to this investigation by the FDA @PhilGeis ? A cursory glance through Google, I could not find a methylisothiazolinone and AMT hit.
Aloha

WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY over due!
Do you have any links to this info?
-
Pretty safe to assume. 🙂 (Or…there were plenty of extracts to hide the real preservative in.)

MemberMarch 13, 2023 at 3:19 pm in reply to: FDA Urea limitations on cosmetic products???@PhilGeis ….as I am not a paid member…I could not open the bottom link.
So….what I hear you saying is…. in cosmetics….there is no limit (legally) to how much Urea a product can contain? Correct?

Why did you conclude they are GMP? Is that mandatory in Canada?

Pure S#IT….is being….Kind!

Is the formula scented? And what bearing did it play on the added scent?
Aloha, @Squinny
I would not expect it to be an irritant. 🙂
I have looked (on paper) at the type of ingredient….for a long time.

No problem….I actually read all 44 pages of Matt’s comments last week (good thing it was raining like crazy ….no yard work)….while searching on another topic. He is a valuable asset to the community!
I could have tossed you the answer….but there is SO MUCH value….in discovering it yourself…and all the learning that came along with it. 🙂 Good Luck.

That can’t be their motivation… to see how good their preservation system is? 🙂
hehehe….cuz we all know….selection of goat’s milk….and good preservation selection….go hand in hand. ????
