Thank you @chemicalmatt for your reply. You said that cleansers are of oil and water based. So oil based are for those that wear makeup and water based are for everyday cleansing. So if i dont wear makeup can a cleansing rich gel be used everyday on my skin?

Also is it possible to have a 2in1 micellar and toner? Also micellar waters are advertised as non rinse off products but how can this be possible when micellar waters have surfactants and its not very good to meave those on the skin as they can irritate it?

Can this URIAGE cleanser be used to remove makeup as well? I would say NO based on what i udnerstood so far as it is a water based and water based wont dissolve makeup; so would that be used as a second step and then we use a toner and then the moisturizer.

    Thanks a lot

Thanks Perry. bUT where im stuck the most is this: if i want to sell i need to have a brand no? and to have a brand i need to have a page and in the page there must eb a mission vision. If i want to start sellling online the audience needs to know who is the brand.I fully agree wiht you but we dont sell in a vaccum.Thats the part im stuck the most with and dont seem to be moving forward 🙁

Also when it comes to the USP i was thinking that having fewer ingredients in the formulation can be a differentiating factor/Do you agree? Lets say i present my brand to a drusgtore and say that what sets me apart is the fact that my products contain fewer ingredients.Would that be a good USP? Now they might wonder: how having fewer ingredients be a USP? And this is why im asking for your feedback please as im stuck and not moving forward.

I dont want to say like everyone products feature natural ingredients or organic; i want to give something else that will sound different and my focus is not of having natural ingredients but on having safe products.Thank you very much

    Hello everyone.

I read many articles on how to write a mission statement and the process is not easy. However lots of people told me to focus on what truly matters and this is GO TO THE MARKET and TEST THE MARKET.I agree wiht them 100% but from what i understood i think that having a mission and vision statement are important as well if you want to sell online becaUSE the audience needs to know who the brand; what its stands for; what is its mission/

Anyway can someone please check my mission and give me some feedback please?

we want to simplify the life of our customers by providing a streamlined approach to skincare focusing only on ingredients that matter.

    Thank you

I read long ago about some chemical filter that is safe but dont recall the name. If someone knows can they please share? The reason why im asking cus im telling myself a 100% mineral SUNSCREEN TO BE FULLT effective must have a high % of zinc but this latter leaves a chalky skin so why not mixing mienral and chemical filters but then i dont remember that chemical filter i read about that is safe. The problem now we dont know which source is reliable to tell us what is safe and what is not and this is so frustrating.

Also yesterday i was reading an article written by the Lab Muffin and she was talking about clean beauty/She said that so many ingredients are hazardous but its their exposure that should matter.I think by exposure she means how much are we going to put to formulate the product/So does that mean even the 6 banned chemical filters by the FDA might not be harmful if we are using them is small dosage?

    Thank you so much Perry
The thing is that i always like to give the benefit of the doubt to brands and i like to think okay they might be saying the truth until i ask and do my research; So i find this disrespectful on their end to lie to consumers, its like saying to people: i know  you dont know anything about cosmetics so im going to take advantage of that and lie to you, this is DISRESPECT to me, knowing someone doesnt understand a topic and me telling them lies voluntarily about a topic they dont know about

  • Hello everyone.

Is there an ingredient that truly  volumizes  hair and stop hair loss and is it possible to stop white hair from growning.Does anyone know any DIY homemade dye for brunette hair color to hide few gray strands at the top because i dont want to die my hair as i have a nice natural color but the few strands are bothering me :(

    Thanks a lot

I was reading an article about skincare brands that have formulas as light as a feather and they mentioned a cream by Avene

D.E.F.I. Exomega emollient cream by Avène Number of ingredients: 7 A-Derma are the founding fathers of sterile cosmetics, using only active ingredients and not a preservative or paraben in sight, meaning their formulas are gentle enough for all the family. In particular, the emollient cream will be a sizeable ally this season to soothe sensitive winter skin.

    https://www.vogue.fr/beauty-tips/cosmetics-store/diaporama/seven-beauty-products-with-less-than-ten-ingredients/39014

Ok based on everyhting i have learned how is it possible to only have active ingredients because aesthetic modifiers/excipient/inactive ingredients role is
help a product to look and feel nice when applied, they help deliver the active ingredients to the skin or can be a preservative to increase the shelf life of a product. Also not having a preservative in the product will make the shelf life short and not safe for the product.

    Thank you all

@Perry I understand better now. I used to feel inferior by lookign at those long lists of ingredients telling myself wow these brands are using all these ingredients how can i compete but now i understand  that smaller INCI’s are better 🙂

    Hello everyone

As im starting to learn about minimalist skincare formulation i cant help myself but wonder why do big brands like Fenty Skin have almost 40 ingredients in their products? Rihana can afford to have the most innovative lab producing products with the least amount of ingredients yet they chose to have a lenghthy list of ingredients.

These are big brands so why are they falling into the maximalist formulation option?

    Thank you

    Hello Paprik;
    Thanks for your reply.
No i made this formula and Sodium Hydroxide is to maintain a balanced PH and also it helps  oils and fats lather and foam into a soap.Do you think its unecessary?

I understand the part of ingredients going down the drain but cleansing is the most important part in a routine and so if you dont cleanse well or if the product you use is messed up well the entire skin is messed up.So i believe that having ingredients that sooth; nourish and moisturise the skin after cleansing is an important differentiator 🙂 lots of people say i use a cleanser but my skin feels so tight after and we dont want people complaining about that 🙂

    Thanks a lot Paprik

Hi @jemolian .Thanks for your reply. I want the micellar water to be a leave on product but i read that leaving them on the skin can be problematic because surfactants will stay on the skin and this is not good. What do you think? So if i want ti to be leave on does that mean i can add fancy ingredients to it such as hylarunocn acid and vitamic c.Also if its a leave on micellar water can it double as a toner then so pople can use it to remove makeup and to tone the skin? I know micellar waters rely on a cotton pad and this is the part i hate because when we use pads we can exert pressure on the skin.So is it possible to have a micellar water without using pads?

If we put oil on our micellar water will it become a rinse off products? Cus i was reading now some micellar water which is actually a micellar oil and people said that they should rinse it off cus it has loil.so if it has oil does that mean we should rinse it off?

if its water based then it a second step in a double cleansing?

Thank you Perry. So how can i know what customers think? Also a mission is not about trying to know what customers think or about pleasing them; its about the company and what they are doing, isnt it?
