thank you for your answers, (and the other times you answered lol)
but i think i will try this formula out with some changes now that i got some good answeres.

and to be honest i knew that if i put teh zinc in i would get some coments on if i should have it in there or not, so it was more of a way for me to see if it fitted there or not (so thank you )

thank you i appreciate all the feed back

now if i were to make a bad formula. (witch i probably will) would it be possible to just work from there, figure out what i like and dont like about it. and fix it. lets say i dont think  its cleansing enough, or its leving the hair seeming to ruff. then could i build on it from there?

and thank you yes i can assure you that starting from the bottom is a whole lot more tricky then making something similare to an other product. my worst enemy now  is surfactants.

    It helped a whole lot

if theres no good putting oils in shampoos why are there so many brands that use them in there products. i mean you see argan oil, jojoba oil and all types o oils in ALLOT of shampoos and conditioners. how come you not like it?
now the zinc i might agree with, that one i can understand.
and the surfactant mix was sugested from an other formulater who really seamed like he knew what he was doing tho yes im avare that co surfactanst arent as good as main surfactants. but there cant be any harm in trying. and also this is for african hair types, low porosity. and they can be a little dry especially if low porosity. so i am going to need something to make it more manageable and a none stripping shampoo.

co surfactants in for example a shampoo. to lower the “intensety” in a more intense surfactant

Well i am working on making hair products to sell later in life. but i just felt it would be good to say i dont want the surfactant to have and sulfats, parabens, silicones. and i want it to be vegan (tho yes i know most of the ingridients are vegan :) ) just for the people who may read it to have the most info possible.
I want to be with in the cosmos sertfied ingridients.

My goal is actually to be a “free of” brand. But by EU do you mean Europe or EU(European Union) because my country is not in the EU its in EØS. And also is it oki to not market it as a “free of” brand, but still sell it as one? Would love to read more about it.

Thank you for your answer its been to great help.

yes i believe thats true as well. theres to many hair types and likings out there to say that one thing is bad and one thing is good (tho there is some abvious things that arent good for hair)

yes im aver. but the consumers wants something that “good for you” in a way. though thats not really as possible as they may think it is. not  that i think thats there someting thats good for you.no one really likes digging in to thing like this. making it way to easy for the suppliers to lie to them (as the industry is well know for).
and tho yes im new at this i have understood that there really isnt anything natural in the sense that its plucked form the ground and put in a bottle.(but boy wouldnt that be something)
tho i dont really see whast wrong with “natural” movement when it comes to the ingridients that they use. but i do think “they” could do a hole lott more honest when it comes to presenting the products, and that they could be telling the whole truth when they want to present it in the way that they do.

no nothing is necesearily good for you but the consumers uselly thinks that this is easily accomplished. And yes glucosides are not always the best, ig it dipends on what you blend it in. i tried it my self (kind of a fail tho,,,) and yes it did leav my hair kind of dry and not feeling the best.

    Right! Natural
    .
Ive seen allot of people saying that the organic, vegan etc trend is a joke, due to the “looslines” of the meaning of the words. I mean “they” should have some structure to it since its now is/becoming a trend. Though i do understand that that the ingridients are vegan, but i think what consumers actually want, is something natural and something thats good for them instead of all the synthetic (“vegan”) stuff

    Regardless.
I have like 7 bottles of decyl glucoside because i thought i needed it so im pleased to to see it can come to good use. Thank you!.
il try it out an see what i can get out of the shampoo.

Well, then i guess im looking or a more vegan surfactant. Ive tried decyl glucoside, but yea i found out that thats more of a co surfactant. so im looking for a main one right now.

Ive read allot about porositys and looked at different oppinions on it online. And it doesnt seem like low porosity likes silicones and things that leaves a film on the hair since the hairs cuticle is already difficult to penetrait due to the “tight” cuticle and the hair is also prone to build up because the hair doenst like to let product in . So adding an other layer on top of the hair will make it even harder to get moisture in to the hair and it can eventually leav the hair dry if you dont get enough moisture in it.

  • Refering to question number one.
I believe some people will. Just look at mary kay, fit line etc. Of course they have a bigger name then allot of others do. But i think that i you find the right people and spread avernes to it, it shouldnt be a to big of a problem. You can post on your own social media, and tell people about it if you see them looking for a “quick buck”. you can also ask people you know to spread avernes to it as well. and alos your going to have to sell it to them (as in tell them about it in a way they feel like its something they can do etc). (honesty is key here)
Be creative in your way of doing business, and i think there will be enough people wanting to work for comission. And also if the product is good it will sell it self.

I understand. But since this is for a natural surfactant for a shampoo/conditioner. does it matter if i put a different perservative in the formula instead. Or is it a must to use the “ETC”?

Oh an also. I dont need a long answer, or for one person to answer all the questions at ones. a quick yes or no (plus what your saying yes or no to) is more then enough.

Hey, my name is Mariam, im from Norway and im in the start of making my own shampoos and conditioners, and hopefully other products in the future.
I joined this sight because of the knowledge that i see i can get from it and hopefully i can help someone else as well.
I have little knowledge when it comes to formulating products, but it really seems like something i will enjoy and get something good out of ones i get started properly.
Its also amazing to see that there is a open forum for everyone no matter the level of understanding you have for the science behind cosmetics.

    Thank you Perry.
