Thank you for the thoughts on this. For interactions you answered what I was looking for. My plan is to make a cream with about 10%-15% Progesterone. This will not be labeled with any claims or intended use/dosage. Can’t find much on the web beyond basic compounding formulas using stock base from PCCA.

Thank you for the comments. I know this is OTC, I am familiar with the monograph. I am trying to find the cause of the tiny grains ‘barely visible’ that form over time (2 days). Anyone ever see this? I am thinking it’s a preservative interaction.

Stearic acid : TEA 2:1

Add more SLES and it should thicken more. This should be stable but I don’t know what else you have in it?
Chelator?
Preservative?
Electrolytes?
Emollients / Humectants?
Fragrance?Little bit more detail and I can sort you out.

Good explanation. I could see why people would think the v/v would equal w/w.

Perry said:@chickenskin - Sure. Although I have actually talked to some people over there previously. But that was probably a year or so ago. If they want to connect again, I could do that.
Thanks Perry I sent you a PM.

Looks like your Xanthan isn’t fully hydrated yet. You might want to try premixing it in glycerin before adding, or adding in the beginning and allow it to fully hydrate.
