I am having trouble to get my product registered with CFDA because of TEA in my formulations. They need to show content of Nitrosamine in TEA but most specification sheets do not have this. Is it possible to get one? Or what is the best replacement for TEA? Sodium Hydroxide will work?

    Appreciate much for your help

AMP can be a good choice, though pricing is always an issue. Potash/caustic are good replacements but I have noticed slight yellowing of my products with these.

You should be able to get a statement from your supplier stating nitrosamine content. Typically, TEA has none detectable.

Why don’t you just use Sodium Lactate, which is a great moisturizer, and eliminate the whole nitrosamines issue altogether.
