I am Preparing a liquid Hand-wash. As i dint get polyquat-7, I thought If i can Use dimethicone oil instead for the same Moisturising effect. Ingredient List is as follows —
    Aqua. 53%
    SLES. 30%
    capb. 5%
    Glycerin. 3%
    Dimethicone. 2%
    Nonyl phenol ethoxylate 9. 5 mole. 5%
    Methyl peraben propyl peraben. 0.5%
    Trisodium EDTA. 1%
    Colour. Trace
    Parfume. Trace
    Salt. Trace

When I pour in dimethicone, my liquid becomes Cloudy then to make it clear and emulsify it, I used Nonyl phenol Ethoxylate but still The same Problem Persist. Then I hit up the solution but when the Temperature when down, again oil Was Visibly Insoluble..

    My Questions are-
Should I use Silicone Oil in My Formulation ?
Is Nonyl phenol Ethoxylate a Good emulsifier ?
Am I following the correct Ingredient and procedure ?
    Any Suggestions would be welcomed..

First of all, better not to use any oils in surfactant based formula b’coz it decreases its foaming power and if you would like to use oils in clear base, you should use solubilizers like polysorbate-20, caprylyl glucoside, heptyl glucoside and PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil etc. Use oils in lower conc. Water soluble esters are available like PEG-7 glyceryl cocoate which would give you emollient effect if desired.

indeed forget the silicone - your formula lacks a refattener like the good ol’ cocamide DEA  -or an emmolient like @ashish stated

Thnx ashish and David for this Invaluable Guudance.  As ballassi suggested me not to put  CDEA in the formulation as it is rather Expensive. But evenafter I add CDEA,  i still get the drying effect on my hands.  I would try PEG-7 GLYCERYL COCOATE or Polyquat 7 if it is locally available.
Though i am not going to use Dimethicone any longer as it makes the liquid cloudy,  I have been suggested to use Nonyl phenol Ethoxylate 9.5 mole to Emulsify the Dimethicone. Is this a right Nonionic to emulsify it?

Don’t bother to use silicone in soap/detergent. Even if you can get it emulsified well enough to be stable, it will then be so well emulsified that none of it will stay on skin.

Use the handwash to wash hands. Use a moisturizer to replace the skin oils the handwash removed.

Thnx bob.. Would you please tell me what should be the optimum Ph of the liquid to get the best out of each ingredients.
Sir,  nonyl phenol ethoxylateis a nonionic means it must be a degreaser and must find use in Dishwashing liquids ?  I have been suggested to use it as an emulsifier.  Would you please guide me on this material ?  I am not getting much on the net.

PEG-12 Dimethicone, chuck out the NP9 not very famous now. Add a normal solubilizer for your perfume, check the best ratio though for solubilizer/perfume.
