  • I think it is just rather specious marketing.

I have a tube from a gift, I just tried it, it leaves fingerprints on my phone screen and the window.

I then compared it with another hand cream from a different brand and one of my own creation which has an oil phase of 25%, all have similar results. I’m not sure how they tested this anti fingerprint claim.

I suspect the impact of their fraud is going to be quite substantial, and it seems they were doing this for quite a while.

For example, one of the largest Australian sunscreen brands primarily used AMA Labs for their SPF testing and it was found that many of those sunscreens are not performing to standard. Concerning since Australia and New Zealand and #1 & 2 for skin cancer rates.

This seems dangerous, I hope you are taking all the necessary precautions.

Here are some YouTube videos that you might possibly want to watch that demonstrate this effect but with hot water used:

    Sodium hydroxide to hot water

Is there any regulation or any country prohibited of using this kind of material?

Yes, here is some information from Australia.

Where it is only allow when: “in topical cosmetic preparations containing 0.0002% or less of transgenic, plant-made epidermal growth factor”.

Ahh thanks! It sounded like an intriguing multi functional ingredient with anti-oxidant, preservative boosting and anti-inflammatory claims but publicly available data on it is scant.

Looks like just wrong INCI, I speculate the ingredients list is not complete (missing potassium hydroxide) or the INCI is for another product.

I haven’t used this preservative before but I was looking at it when making a shower oil:

    Suprapein® - 8570 / Plantaserv S:

INCI: “Origanum Vulgare Leaf Extract (and) Thymus Vulgaris (Thyme) Flower/Leaf Extract (and) Cinnamomum Zeylanicum Bark Extract (and) Olea Europaea (Olive) Leaf Extract (and) Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract (and) Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Leaf Extract”

Claims to be broad-spectrum, to be used in oil based formulas that might incidentally come into contact with water.

Perhaps others might have some more insight if they have any experience with it.
