Interesting, because i normally do 1-1 EO and Polysorbate20. I mix it together and than pour it in to liquid soap. I will try to make it again and will add more p20. Or i can add more p20 in to soap and mix again?

    Thank you

I see Natragem 140 will work. Now need to test in water before adding it to product.

I left our ghtc and replace with sodium pca, lactate and adding sucrose cocoate, but when i add sucrose cocoate it thich whole formula, quite a lot. Do i need to disperse it in soluble surfactant eg.coco glucoside ?

Citric acit did not help/work. Will try tomorrow with lactic acid. With 0.2 and 30 min mix at 70 celsius. Lets see.

I add citric acit in water befor i put in vortex so it swell better. But check ph.
Trying for shower gel, but wondering if i am better with sodium PCA and sodium lactate.

    Thx

Can Sodium PCA substitute Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride?

I did try in glycerine and than in water but is same. Also today, after 24h is still with dots/small particles. No orher ingredients, rather water and ghtc.

And slo i have question, how do you thick formulation with sodium cocoyl glutamate ? I have problem with using it and carbopol ultrez 20 polymer. I rather dont use xantan gum (sticky gel and specific odour).

If i buy chamber for stability test, can i give than stability test to myself/products after 8 or + weeks of controling?

Because for CPSR , we need PET testing and stability testing. PET testing i will give to outsourcing lab, but stability testing i was thinking to do it in my lab/cosmetic production with chamber that has :
    0-60’celsius with -+0.1 accuracy, fluctation 1%+-
    humidity 50-90 %
    timing range 0-999min
So on end i dont need other labs or outsourcing to make stability test of produucts that will be relesed on market?

    Calculations:

    Relative Amount (%) = [Volume Instability Phenomena] x 100
                                                     [Volume Total]

Ex). Total Volume = 10 mL
Volume of Settled Material = 1.0 mL
    Relative Amount = (1.0 / 10) x 100 = 10% Settling

So 3,5h at 3000 rpm is equal to 1 year stability?

But i see some companies have not done on temperature but on centrifuge. Do you think i can buy cenftrifuge equipment and do it that way ?

I mix EO after cool down phase, when all surfactants are already mixed.

Now i tried to add 2% polysorbate 80 and 0.5% EO. It got a lot better just a little bit cloudy. Adding any silicone will make it cloudy more right ? Was thinking to add polyquaternium 7 or something to make hair soft and smooth after washing

How do you mean by surfactants are not strong enought?

    Sodium Cocoamphoacetate (25%)  32%

Sodium Lauryl Glucose Carboxylate & Lauryl Glucoside (25%) 10%

    Disodium Cocoyl Glutamate (25%)  6.4%

    totall active = 12,1

    Cocomide DEA:

” The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) lists coconut oil diethanolamine condensate (cocamide DEA) as an IARC Group 2B carcinogen, which identifies this chemical as possibly carcinogenic to humans.[3]

In June 2012, the California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment added cocamide DEA to the California Proposition 65 (1986) list of chemicals known to cause cancer.[4]

Cocamide DEA has a high irritation potential.[5][non-primary source needed] “

Totally forgot. Mayby you could help me with shampoo reacting with essential oils? From Perry’s natural formula i get from nice texture and nice thicken form in to cloudy shampoo. No perservative yet added or any other feature ingredient. I tried to add EO and asap as i add, it get cloudy. I tried to use polysorbates, peg 40 castor oil and mix with eo and than add, but just wouldnt work.

I totally agree with you. At the moment i dont have Cocamide MEA, but i have only DEA and that one is carcinogen. I cant find suppliers to even order it and test it from web page in UK.

Mayby can i replace CAPB with Sodium C14/C16 Olefin Sulphonate ?
I can also use this 2 if need:
    coco glucoside glyceryl oleate
Sodium Lauryl Glucose Carboxylate (and) Lauryl Glucoside (Plantapon LGC)

Hmm, honeyquad is nice for skin, but can be replaced with any other natural ingredient or will not make diference if i pull it out (for skin) ? Also will it make formula unstable or just less thicker ? if i leave it in formula ?

What i found interesting is, i did as told and i must say i was really happy. But as soon as i add last ingredient-Hydroxypropyltrimonium Honey at 1% it brakes down thicknes. Probably react with carbomer. Can i avoid this somehow (not replacing carbomer/hoey quad)?

Thank you belassi for guides, will try it asap and let you know how will turn out. Bob, yes will try to use NaOH (10% solution) to thick carbomer. So best thing just to add to carbomer to achive ph of 5 - 5.5 right ? And than add oils in to it?
