I apologize for the miscommunication. However, they’re currently banning DEA where I live.

It’s not separating in an aqueous solution, just making the entire thing look opalescent and pearl when disturbed. Is pearling common?

Caribbean natural products has a small grain pumice that doesn’t grey out too bad, but there’s always grey in pumice. If you, however, go with a fine enough grade, you can do what bobschemist said and go with a white abrasive. I’ve got this funny feeling that fine grade quartz is going to be the next big thing.

I would start with your ‘cocamide DEA’ in your formulation. Cocamide DEA is going to be banned, soon.

AOS would be your problem. It’s not too easy to thicken or work with.

Try a peg 175 or maybe you can look at guar gum. Honestly, though, if you’re having jelly issues, you may have used too much Aculyn 88.

I actually have a lab and formulations facility within southern California! I’ve worked on hair pomades before and have a detailed knowledge. Would you be interested in discussion?

Is this in response to Vanderbilt mineral’s shortage and refusal to take on new customers?

    Hey guys!

My name is Mikhal and I have a masters in chemistry. I work as a formulations chemist for a cleaning product and personal care company. I joined this board for more insight into quirks I have with different formulas and keeping up with alternatives. I like hearing what everyone’s got going on and look forward to adding my two cents into discussions!
