I am having tough time during making ng 80% ethanol gel as it consumes more carbopol and due to high prices it’s cost goes higher…
A customer want it with WHO recommendations but with gel not liquid I mad it once but its tolerance towards TEA is very low at higher concentration.
I have a meeting today in evening for this quality requirements. What should be the best percentage of Ethanol that can work in these conditions? -
I also want to know is it possible to get clear gel at 80% ethanol using carbopol 940 or ultrez 21…
Will appreciate the answers, to thanx -

IS Gum rosin can b an alternate of pine oil? -
@bil7
Thanx for the info…
Is T 80 (tween-80) kinda chemical or something else?
Phenol carboxylic acid and light creosote oil is easily available in the market? -

thanx Belassi
i wanted to use these for anionic surfactants e.g LABSA & SLES. i’ll look into the details for what purpose they are being made, hopefully will get an answer. -
Belassi said:940 is useless with anionic surfactants.
which grade of carbopol is better, ultrez-20/21 is not available in our country.
we have polygel-940/941/934.
Does it have any other name (ultrez-21)? -

what is that slimy slow moving property in liquid dish wash of max?
i trued to increase surfactant and tried to enhance its thickness but still did not get that kinda result.
Is there any kind of slimy product like glue or else is used in it?Max? Is that a brand?
What are their ingredients?yes it’s a brand of Unilever i guess…

Quimico said:No!! LABSA is not recommended for personal care formulation.
Try this commercial formula;1. Water balance to 100
2. Glycerin 1
3. SLES 14
4. DEA 2
5. BETAINE 1
6. EDTA 0.2
7. SALT 4
8. Perfume & dye qsglycerine!!! is it not water soluble?

Methyle paraben is good but its slightly soluble in water and infer in the thickness of the liquid dish wash. -
