What do you mean by weird, bouncy, cottage cheese type texture? Can you show a picture
Also as @Microformulationsaid, chelating agent is very important, especially with this preservative and this pH.
Ask your client what they want. If they want you to just mix some specific ingredients and don’t care about the result then you should not care too. Just mix whatever they want and give them.
If they want a safe and stable product then tell then chelating agent is necessary. If they don’t like one then use another oneFor instability, if oil is separating then increase or change your emulsifier. If water separating then increase the viscosity of water phase.

EntrepreneurSeptember 13, 2021 at 10:22 am in reply to: What is CMC (critical micelle concentration) of surfactant exactly@Pharma thanks a lot for comments and link.
Just one more question ????
Does salt (sodium chloride or ammonium chloride) increase the micelle size or decrease it?

Some more questions.1. In a flat jar a solution would have more water/air interface than the same amount in a thin bottle. Does it mean they need different amount for surfactant to saturate the water/air interface and so different CMC?
2. Why CMC is utterly useless in most everyday situations, especially in complex surfactant blends?
3. Does added salt effect micelle size or the number of molecules within a micelle? If yes how and what it does?
4. What factors (adding or removing some ingredients or special process) effect micelle size and the number of molecules within a micelle?

Do you know why are you using these ingredients and how much should each of them be used?

EntrepreneurSeptember 2, 2021 at 11:16 am in reply to: Typical inclusion rate of Cholecalciferol / D3 in a cream or lotionIf you add 0.01% Cholecalciferol to an emulsion and apply 2g of that emulsion everyday and your skin absorbed 100% of vitamin D3 from it, you get 8000 IU vitamin D from that emulsion per day. ????
Now you calculate the rest of that.
