Sunflower Lecithin Emulsion Ratios
I have been trying to use sunflower lecithin (powder and liquid) as an emulsifier for my hemp seed oil/water mixtures…with very little luck
One mixture is a bath oil so it’s essentially just hemp seed oil and essential oils. I just want the oil to disperse on the tub when used but I can’t find and instructions on how much lecithin to use or which kind (Powder or liquid) is best
The second mixture is 10% hemp seed oil and 90% water that i want to mix. Again, I can’t find good info on how much lecithin to use for this ratioDoes anyone have experience emulsifying with sunflower lecithin ?

Sunflower lecithin is higher in phosphatidyl serine than the typical soya-based stuff. Never used it myself, but that may be a hindrance. You want to use the liquid dispersion and not much of it either: 1.0 - 1.5% is plenty with 10% oil load. Add glycerin and a diol (PG or BG) to the water and mix well while hot. Good luck.

Just adding that you will more than likely have to use a high-shear mixture of sorts.
