Selling proucts from home
Hello everyone this post is going to be a little long and for that i sincerely apologize .I hope someone can answer my questions and give me some advice as at this point i feel a little desperate so i’ve been dealing with some things and at the moment can’t leave my house however i still need to make a living.
I started thinking maybe this is the perfect time to start my dream of creating my own brand so after much consideration i decided to start with nail polishes, I’ve purchased some nail polishes suspension base from an indi brand supplier and have started experimenting and have already made a couple of colors and have been wearing them and trying to come with polishes im happy with my worry is microbial testing and if something like this type of base need a preservative and does it need to go through microbial testing as you can imagine i do not have the funds to go and do microbial testing, however i would never sell anything to anyone if its not 100 percent safe for them. i dont ever want to cause harm to anyone i have read on the internet that because of the solvents in nail polishes they dont need any preservative and that because of the solvents in nail polishes bacteria doesn’t strive and thats why in nail salons they use the same nail polishes on everyone however its the internet and you have to take anything you read on the internet with a grain of salt
Thats why I’ve come here to get advice from the experts i will be working on a clean area and disinfecting everything wearing gloves ,mask ,hairnets ect. Upon my research i have come across stories of people who started their business be it selling cosmetic or nail polishes from home how do they do microbial testing without the funds? to summarize should i still continue or is it a bad idea to do nail polishes from home and sell them ?will I be putting anyone at harm?
I get very anxious at the thought of this so automatically i think the worse of everything thats why its so conflicting to me. Also one last question regarding some of the ingredients in this bases theres a lot of fear mongering sites out there and i will highly appreciated if a chemist can help me debunk them the chemicals im talking about is BENZOPHENONE-1 and Triphenyl phosphate i heard not so great things about this “chemicals” but i honestly prefer someone who has knowledge about this ingredients overall my last question is if my overall ingredients in my bases can harm anyone if they apply it consistently or a nail biters ect? Again i apologize for my long post and i highly appreciate everyones response thank you
