  • Amphoteric % for SLS/DCG blend?

    Hi All
I’m experimenting with a liquid shampoo mix - SLS & Disodium Cocoyl Glutamate, SLS/Sarcosinate/DCG, can anyone suggest any other appropriate amphoterics other than CAPB? I have tried SLS/SLES/CAPB combos and dont like the feel with SLES at all. My goal is max bubble but need mildness also.

    Many Thanks

Maybe you can try with different ratios of anionic/CAPB? CAPB is the one that has the strongest synergy with SLES and SLS, especially when it comes to mildness. You could alternatively use amphoacetates.

I’ll second @ketchito and offer the cocoamphocetates, and also echo the ratio proposition. If you have 2:1 to a 1:1 ratio (solid-state) anionic : amphoteric and a little builder this should be very viscous. That is, unless you start adding the accursed glycerin to your formula.
