  • A list of HLB Values for surfactants

HI, I am a marijuana producer/processor in WA state and formulate topicals made of cannabis, using nanoemulsion technology. Some of you have helped me with my formulas and I appreciate your help. I am also a student of Perry’s courses which I am finding helpful. I am working on a marijuana bubble bath (hard to imagine people wanting to soak in weed) and am unable to find a list of HLB values for surfactants, specially looking for Disodium laureth sulfosuccinate, disodium cocamido MIPA sulfosuccinate, and sodium laureth sulfate. I googled this topic and have not been able to find anything on this and would appreciate any help from this forum. Thank you in advance.

And you won’t find it. The HLB system is made for surfactants with no charge. Those are anionic.

Also keep in mind HLB shall be used as a formulation guide, its not a flawless method.
