The Chemistry of July Fourth Fireworks

When I was in high school I did a number of experiments in creating my own fireworks.  Unfortunately, there wasn’t the Internet and Youtube to better educate me and I made a bunch of duds.

But this is the 21st century and you can learn anything on the Internet.  Here is an excellent description / discussion of the chemistry of fireworks.
