Oranges contain other antioxidants that keep Vitamin C from oxidizing such as other vitamins (A, B complex) flavonoids and glutathione.

@Zink you should try it too -
I agree with @Doreen81 and @Microformulation you need a laminar flow and even with that you need to sterilize the whole container (preferably glass) after packaging with gamma ray.

I have a friend who is doing Master’s research on the same subject MAA in Japan, but from non pathogenic bacteria.

25% Zinc oxide is way to high, it even exceeds the OTC %
good luck in incorporating 25% in your formulation -
@Belassi is right, you have made soap not cream
Simply you can test your product, take some and mix it with water and see if it does foam or not, the rest is obvious. -

I did use it experimentally in lab animals during my studies as solvent for some herb oil extracts and also in formulating topical pesticides for pets (as skin penetration aid) -
In my culture people use Henna not only to dye their hair, but also to get the benefits as hair tonic. What interesting is they mix the Henna powder with brewed coffee or tea claiming it makes their hair shiny, smooth and have better volume.

@luukheum I
will try to answer your 1st question.UVA & UVB are the most common rays that affect our skin.
UVB has short wave length and it can reach the outer layer of our skin, the
epidermis, whilst UVA has longer wave length that can penetrate deeper and
reach the dermis. Now UV through photo-oxidation triggers the production of ROS
(Reactive Oxygen Species) or free radicals which in turn triggers the
production of melanin to protect our skin against UV damage. The antioxidants (skincare functional) like vitamin C will
neutralizes those free radicals and temporarily decreases the production of the
skin melanin so the skin appears brighter/ lighter. At the same time, the
antioxidants will protect the skin from photo-oxidation damage aka aging effect
again via free radicals neutralization effect.I hope its clear enough and answers your question.

Hi @ozgirl I did use lemongrass water extract (more of a decoction) in body wash before, it was successful and we still produce the same body wash with the same decoction.

@Doreen81 it is a fairy dust, that we know, others don’t know :p and that what marketing have been playing on.

I forget to mention that dog’s skin is very sensitive and different from human skin as it has less keratinized epidermis compare to human epidermis and the epidermis turnover cycle in dog is about “20 days” compare to “28 days” for human epidermis.
That is why pet’s grooming aid products “pet’s personal care products” are very gentle when it comes to formulation.
