@ngarayeva001Thank you so much! Let me get to work ASAP. Do not have cithrol 10GTIS currently so am going with poly 80 and a lighter oil to something like this:

    Sunflower oil 30%
    Grapsend oil 27.5%
    Neem oil 5%
    Soy Wax 10%
    Emulsifying wax ( certaryl alc + cethareth 20) 10%
    Cetyl alcohol 5%
    Polysorbate 80 10%
    Vit E 0.5%
    Greentea extract 1%
    Phenoxyethanol 0.5%
    Ethylgexylglycerin + capryl glycol 0.5%

Thank you @chemicalmatt any substitution for TRO? I would prefer something gentle and am not sure of the quality of TRO available here.

Yes.. it is. The emulsifiers are for a wash off. So that it turns milky on contact with water and removes the make up, sunscreen and gunk without stripping the skin. And preservative so that it does not go bad if someone accidentally uses it with wet hands.

And since I have only purchased phenoxyethanol, I was hoping it would work in all formulas..but I realize that’s not going to happen.

Wow.. there is so much to learn here! With stable formula, I meant, I was still struggling with the physical stability of it. :D Thought I should get that right and then look into the preservative system.

    Hey Mike,

Let me try with a different set of oils and see what i get. I totally hear you about your company. Formulating is my happy space and i enjoy the learning process. This formulation is not for a third party but just enhancing my learning curve.

    Thank you for helping out!

Hi! Why would you call it complicated? I thought it was rather easy, at least on paper. It didn’t even have a co emulsifier or electrolytes. WIth your experience, can you help with what might have caused the stickiness upon washing?

    Thank you for your response.

And it was dimethicone 350..so that cannot be the problem.

Hey, i was wondering how GMS SE gave such a beautiful emulsion for being W/O. Thank you for having that corrected. Let me try to reduce the glycerin and check again. Thank you for helping out!
