    @ngarayeva001: tnx!
    @Milly: I haven’t tried using cetyl alcohol and dimethicone but I am convinced to re-formulate. So much help coming from you. Big thanks!

    @Milly: yes, already omitted glycerin. I don’t have mango butter for now but do you have any idea if cocoa butter will behave well in this mixture? Thank you.

    @ngarayeva001: I did make another batch minus the glycerin and clay. It looks like lip balm. As you said, yeah more like lipstick 🙂 But I noticed that I couldn’t play much with the colors that I wanted to create compared with clay in it. Although I haven’t tried replacing clay with titanium dioxide. I don’t usually exceed by 5% of of it in my formula.

    @Dtdang, bought it from an online store. Messaged the seller, said they buy it in bulk from overseas, then they do retail. But til now got no further reply as to the more specific details of their product such as brand, type of Vit E or if its pure or not

    Oh, maybe it was diluted.. What you said got me thinking.. Even at daylight, there hardly was any yellowish tinge to it even if I had to choose a white background. Better discard the stuff..tnx so much @Mark, @Doreen :smiley:

    Thank you so much for the insights. Btw, this is how it looks like when I draw it out using tuberculin syringe..yes, translucent.. far different from the amber colored tocopherol..

    @JonahRay: Now I know why it doesn’t stay longer but turns sloppy and rubberized as it dries (consistency like Elmer’s glue drying at the edge of its cap after 1 month or so of use).

    Update: I just purchased Phenoxyethanol and tried incorporating 0.3% instead of the .5-1% recommended rate. I read in an article that for children, it should be at least .4% or less.

    @ozgirl: Oh. That’s why I can smell rancidity.

    Update: I bought Vit. E oil capsules in 400 IU and incorporated it at .2%.

    Some use Salicylic acid. I don’t want to use it as it adds itchiness to my skin. Also, I use Kaolin as my clay base because everytime I use talcum, pimples appear on my face.

    I don’t know if I omit glycerin will it still be okay or by adding .3% phenoxyethanol and Vit E my formula will last at least a year and will turn out ok.

    Thank you for patiently responding.
