Fragrances containing phthalates last longer. But the presence of phthalates in the environment is becoming controversial. This chemical has been banned in California, the first state to do so.

https://www.niehs.nih.gov/research/supported/assets/docs/j_q/phthalates_the_everywhere_chemical_handout_508.pdfNot sure if your fragrance contains phtalates, maybe it is an opportunity to market your product as more natural.

How are you tickening your body wash? Why are you using similar surfactants like Lauryl Glucoside and Coco-glucoside? What is your total surfactant concentration?

She means that if the shampoo bar which contains BTMS ( conditioner) is not able to clean and detangle you should use a conditioning bar or conditioner after shampooing. BTMS is positively charged and will stick to your hair to detangle, control static …
Shampoo washes and conditioner conditions, it is difficult to clean (remove) and condition (add) to the hair at the same time. That is why we normally shampoo, then we use a conditioner because if is more effective. -

I also use cetearyl, at lower percentage. I think our formulation are pretty similar… I do not beleive in butters or oils, as far as I am concern they are marketing ingredients. I noticed that they were affecting texture, but it is very possible you could get the same effect by increasing Cetearyl alcohol.

I do the same, but I need a bit of fat to homogenize and get the right consistency to be able get an appealing look in 3d mold. Don’t you?
-
@ ozgirl, interesting, I think we use a different way of making them. Do you melt your ingredients before molding?

This does not sound normal to me. Verify if there is anything incompatible in your formula with Montanov 68. Call your re-packer to trouble shoot, maybe they made a mistake.

Decrease cocoa butter, increase dry surfactant. Fat makes your surfactant work harder and makes your bar softer. You can also add sodium lactate and bit of strearic acid to make your bar harder and add structure.

My hair was straight my entire life, I permed it when I was a teenager because it was lifeless. Over the last 6 years, it has become wavy, now I even have small curls.
In my experience, hormonal changes can make your hair curly. -
@mikethair what does Eugenol content means 1-9% result 7.09 when it was mentioned before as being 74.70%. I should call them and ask, they are located in Toronto Canada.

Shampooing your hair will wash out some hair dye especially red tones. I wonder if stronger anionic surfactants wash out more hair dye than milder ones.
-
If your surfactant percentage is within the normal range. You may want to inquire what shampoo yours is compared to? Are they using a shampoo that contains silicone which may feel more moisturizing?

At very low concentrations, can water have low activity in a fatty acid environment? Do you need a preservative for your anhydrous projects? You can find many foods that contain a low amount of water that can be preserved with sugar and salt because they bind the water.

I believe this C of A list is the percentage of each terpenoid which is a representation of the olfactory characteristic of this essential oil, not an allergen analysis.
