@starlord13 the amount of SLES & CAP Betaine is fair for hand wash, but their are other factors that influence the foaming
1. The water hardness (use EDTA ~0.1% )
2. Add foam boosting Surfactants (CC DEA) -
What type of oil you are using?? Their is no soap with single oil, the basic of soap making is know the oil blends and each oil profile.
Blend of
1. Hard oils & Soft oils + Caustic soda(based on Saponification Value) + Stearic acid + Water used to make lye solution. -
If you post your startup formula is better to help you
The face wash foam should be no irritant to skin.
1. SLES 10
2. CC DEA 1
3. COCO GLUCOSIDE 0.5
4. CAP BETAINE 5
5. GLYCEROL
6. Isopropyl myristate 0.2
7. PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate 1 -

Water phase
1. Water
2. EDTA 0.1
3. Glycerol 2
4. Cetrimonium chloride 2
Oil phase
1. Cetearyl alcohol 5
Heat separated to 78© add oil to water mix for 20 min -
This formula works well
SLES70: 10%,
CAPB 4%,
Coco glucoside 0.5%
CDEA 1%,
PEG 7 GC 0.5%,
Frag 0.15%, -
Thanks all i find KRATON G EP Polymer
(Ethylene/propylene based polymers)
Which solved my problem of thickening paraffin oil. -
Quimico said:Gordof said:to thicken an oil you need either a Polymer which is oil soluble or you need a Wax / Butter that is compatible with your main oil and does not recrystallize visible in it. in your case, i would say you can use Vaseline for example or high viscose paraffin oil depends on the viscosity you wanna go for.
I would recommend using Polyamide-8 as polymers, tradenames for example are OleoCraft™ there are different types out there and you can ask the supplier for advice on which one to use for your product to get the best performance. they need to be usable with your main oil so ask them Realy it can go wrong otherwise. but you can then get from low to high viscose oils “gel”
Thanks Gordof, What type of wax, other polymer thickeners are not available in my country.
I have microwax & paraffin wax

Perry said:You can’t use Carbomer to thicken an oil.
Although, perhaps you have other ingredients in your formula?
I am using paraffin oil only Which is mineral oil
Can i use carbomer and TEA only?
Thanks Perry i will known you my results
My trial was 0.2% Carbomer -

DELETE the stearic acid, it is incompatible with cationic alkyl quaternary. Also, add some mineral oil or other aceite to emulsify here or this will be only a rinse. The CETAC alone should work, but if not add small amount of Ceteareth-20 and you’ll be OK. Sodium chloride (sal) will thicken that system too, which many formulators aren’t aware. Thanks it worked

Use
Water
EDTA
GLYCEROL
SLES
CC DEA
CA BETAINE
SALT AND ADDITIVES -
I recommend you the following formula;
1 water
2. LABSA 11%
3. caustic soda 1.4%
4. SLES 7%
5. STPP 1%
THICKNER salt up to 2.5%
This is a very stable formula with high foam & good cleaning properties -
High fragrance & very little Ethanol you are using, the amount of Alcohol should be greater than 10%.
Use different type of fragrances from 0.4-1%
Solubilize with tween 20, -
Can you separate the items by phase??
1. Oil phase
2 water phase, additives ….. -
Fekher, sorry wrongly my assistant added PARAFFIN OIL Instead of Glycerine
Thanks -
