Is your mason jar air tight sealed? Is there a chance your EO evaporated.
1% EO is not low, you can try 2% Tween20/0.15 Spearmint Oil. -
right after bathing - some might find yourself sweating more than you expected because sweat and sebum have been washed off, your sweat glands want to achieve their natural function.
Armpits tend to sweat more after day bath than after night bath.for further reading see Apoeccrine sweat glands.
have you compared the amount of sweat using your doe vs not using anything at all?
if it is about the same amount I would say your cream is fine.
Oils 10% - or maybe your oil is too occlusive, try sub with non-occlusive PPG-15 Stearyl Ether and Isostearic acid. -

https://www.sciencedirect.com/topics/medicine-and-dentistry/sweat-gland-functionI’m skeptical of using aloe vera and a thin layer of oil or the product you shared above before/during shave will provide more benefit than other lubricating agents like KY jelly, shaving cream.
wet towel 5-10 min with shaving creams would be enough to make your hair soft and easier to shave.
or if you are using aloe vera, Argan oil or Jojoba as an leave on after-shave for soothing micro tears causing by blade that might help.

@dreamstar - i think NatureMulse 1% is not enough to make a stable emulsion i have never used it but guess it should be 3-5% or need to add fatty alcohol or add gum would do, you have to try.
btms50 , emulsimulse , Aracel165 - might start with smthing basic and easy first then step up with more fancy stuff.
Happy formulating

try contact perfume houses and ask if they can match your requirement. E-mail or phone call for business inquiry is free (mostly).
It’s better than setting up your own plant when you are in early stage as you can save money for media ad or marketing.
Maybe start with a pilot lot about 100 pcs. then scale up later.
Good luck.

MemberSeptember 14, 2020 at 4:33 pm in reply to: Definition (and rules) for Day Cream and Night Cream?it’s depend on your targeted customers.
if they were to wear makeup daily, they tend to want a lighter cream as they will be using sunscreen and makeup after.
with additional benefits, can make their makeup stay longer, won’t ruin their makeup during the day, oil controlled effect, acne friendly, … etc
if they don’t wear makeup on daily basis, it’s ideally good if day cream have SPF but still feel lighter than sunscreen and not too shiny for natural look. -

MemberSeptember 14, 2020 at 2:38 pm in reply to: Need help understanding the process of hiring a chemistDo you mean you want to hire a perfumer to develop a complete formula
and then you will make it at home?
If it’s this way you may have to pay way more than 2k but you will get the full ownership of the formula.Or you can do as Perry mentioned above.
exclusive deal with perfume house, they can make exactly what you want.
And only you can have it manufactured, they can make a ready-to-sale product for you. This way you will have you own perfume.
but if you want full ownership of the complete formula too you have to pay for it and it’s not cheap. -
Can I play?
They’re somewhat a bit shinny, a bit sticky, can be melt and glued.Beewax? hahaha idk.

tretinoin cream base is usually thin with minimal occlusion which is good for acne treatment.
In my humble opinion.
tretinoin cream should only be a prescription drug for ance vulgaris not product for cosmetic use. It is used as an adjunctive treatment in fine wrinkled patients under supervision of medical professionals. I myself am not very keen on using it for cosmetics propose it posts too many risks of side-effects and prolonged usage safety is still the issue. Many Derms prescibe it doesn’t mean you should DIY it. But in the end it’s your choice.I am sure @Pharma ‘s knowledge in this area is far better than mine.
I found this short pdf
https://providers.amerigroup.com/AGP%20Documents/PHARM_ALL_CosmeticAnti-Aging.pdfhave you considered using retinol or retinaldehyde?
this study is also interesting too.

It’s the magic of marketing.
K-POP and entertainment industry was introduced to the westerns in recent past years. So Korean beauty standard like pop idol is the new goto but it is unrealistic if you see them in person you will see how pale they are like a paper sheet.
90’s pop idols have a normal asian skin tone and in late 2000 girl group idols was gaining more popularity so it set the new standard now every boys and girls have to be super white.
And there’s a chain of thought that says if you are pretty you will get a better job and better life. So their commitment to the crazy routine is a must do.
As for skin aging i blamed it on genetics as i am asian in my 35 still no line of wrinkle while my western friends had in their 20.
most Korean products are nothing special, if you take away the marketing and story line out, Sulwhasoo is just a high price moisturizer. but they have wide range of products from light to heavy you will likely to find one that you like.
i personally like Japanese products more because they did some researches and papers on their ingredients more than just throwing some extract in.
Many Koreans use western products such as Estee, Lancome, La mer…as well
to this “What is it that koreans know and have, that we don’t?”question
IMHO consumers are humans, human always want new things, even big companies still have to launch new series. -
Tretinoine cream isn’t easy to make and mostly would comes in aluminium tube to prevent degradation.
easy way you may use standard tretioine cream and apply night cream after to prevent dryness and use sunscreen. -

MemberSeptember 9, 2020 at 11:35 am in reply to: homogenizer or stirrer for small business starting out?an overhead stirrer will do if you can find it within $250.
a stick blender is cheaper might be a good starter and then get a stirrer when you have more experience.when i make test batch at home 100-200 i do stick blender and cool down by hand, 300-1000 i do overhead stirrer. if the formulae is too complicated or need a homogenizer i hand it over to professional formulator.

I’m not impressed & don’t think consumers get much additional benefit by using it over standard treatments. They do have an impressive marketing machine though. They have done an excellent job of convincing people that their product & technology is special. And that is more important than whether the technology is actually special. I don’t think it is, but I’m not their target market.
but because they can(?) reduce time in bleaching process that’s why many salons like it. after 1-2 washes that claimed-effect would be gone and left with damaged hair and customers have to buy additional treatment for home use later. their marketing is really good tho.

for soaping nothing beats silicone i personally like 5 cst.
for CCT 7% i personally think it is too high for a lightweight lotion. if cut down and play with the right gums and or polymers the texture and sensory can come out really good.Happy formulating
