Sodium benzoate goes into ionic solution at pH<5.5 so there is little difference. Please bear in mind that when formulating a shampoo, you need to look at the complete system, not just the preservative alone. For instance, our (discontinued) sulphate-free shampoo had 3% propanediol in it as part of the thickener; it acts as a preservative booster. Ideally I would experimentally reduce the preservative until it failed challenge and then double that amount. In practice nobody has that kind of time.
You can use citric acid to reduce the pH.

    Thank you very much sir

That Lubrizol formula will be much like what is in the video. If you want it clear, just disregard the mica/dyes.

A ringing gel/pomade formula with Peg 90M will give the stringy results. The fixatives used will effect the amount of webbing as well.

Could you please provide us with Lubrizol formula?
we could not have it .
    Thank you .

I have made this product several times.

Honestly, it is the PEG90M that makes it work. The PEG45 does not suffice. You may want to search carefully as there are many providers and sometimes thgeINCI’s vary.

Could you please provide us with the procedures and ingredients percentages ?
    Thanks in advance .

sodium benzoate 0.4% should be perfectly adequate provided you keep the pH to not more than 5.

Shall he use Sodium Benzoate or Benzoic Acid ?
How to adjust PH to 5?
