About Shea butter i’am sure that it dosen’t break gel cause i had some experiences about that. -

@lopamudra i guess product with borax has better foam because borax is basic ingredient so it reacts with free fatty acids to give better foam but more agressif soap. So it is not evident the better foam the better soap cause adding basic ingredient improve foam but decrease mildness of soap so as conclusion we should find the adequat amount to have mild and good foamer soap at the same time.

MemberNovember 26, 2018 at 5:45 pm in reply to: Facial wash soap-based decreased viscosity after the period of time@duyennguyen actually i faced same thing with a soap made by me and i notice that also transperency increased so my explication that by time saponification advanced and cause the formation of more glycerin wich decrease the viscosity and increase the transperency of soap.

Thanks for that smart answer @Perry

@Amira the disered product should have conditioner “polyquaterniums” , vegeteble oils as ” olive oil , aragan oil” wich help a lot for keeping healthy hair and even protein or keratin to repair the hair. For surfactants it will be better to use mild ones as you said. The ph of shampoo is also important for hair so it should be between 7 and 5 and it will be better to have slightly acid shampoo .
For soduim free it is clear that shampoo must not have soduim whatever even for the surfactants.
