Professional Chemist / FormulatorSeptember 13, 2022 at 4:55 am in reply to: Which is best alternative to increase viscosity for such product?@Paprik actually for economical reason and also accessibility i’am trying to keep my ingredients as much as possible , for the moment may I can interduce (sodium cocoamphoacetate, Sodium lauroyl sarcosinate), appriciate your input.
@Abdullah the level of use of coco glucoside is 6%.(what ratio you recommend for xanthan and guar gums)I see in humble and me that carrageenan is more recommended then xanthan gum for cleanser gel.

Professional Chemist / FormulatorSeptember 12, 2022 at 6:23 pm in reply to: Which is best alternative to increase viscosity for such product?@RDchemist15 actually I know that almost Carbomer are electrolyte sensitive, just I want to see what it gives then I added slat to see if it will work for adding viscosity but unfortunately I did not (I have some success with system Carbomer,TEA, CAPB, N70 with adding slat it increase viscosity)
I have as reflex xanthan gum, and cellulose so thanks for the input. -

Professional Chemist / FormulatorJuly 31, 2022 at 9:38 pm in reply to: Did neutralized carbomer will be electrolyte resistant by adding fatty (acid or alcohol)?@HAL49 yes you have right about there are a lot of types of carbomer but my question about not resistant electrolyte ones did fatty (alcohol/acid) make them more resistant?
About adding stabilizing effect for sure fatty alcohol and acids give more stability for cream product and even about texture not always true that they have bad effect with carbomer, actually the kaolin cream have lovely texture and for sure stearic acid made the emulsion more stable. -
@starlord13 as you said total active equal to level of use of surfactant * concentration
As example for N70 if the level of use is 10% then active surfactant is =70*0.1=7 -
