@Miassa I can see the influence of xanthan gum in your product’s transparency however is it important to have transparent shampoo? There are a lot of opaque industriel shampoo and I guess viscosity is more important.
I google for PEG/PPG-120/10 Trimethylolpropane Trioleate (and) Laureth-2, yes it is used as thickener and I found that many peg are used for the same function.
Fast up date from you keep working ????. -
@Miassa yes waiting your up date just tow other suggestions may using low level of xanthan gum as example 0,2% will not effect a lot transparency the other suggestion may it seems strange but it can work using neutralised carbomer (I know it is not electrolyte resistant) but I have some success with it in high electrolyte product.
-
Have any one use hair styling product with cationic ingredient? I’m interested to know if cationic ingredient in such product have remarkable effect or it is more for commercial reason.
-
@Miassa I suggest (glycerin /xanthan gum) it will be benifical for your system. For active surfactant there is no precise value just as I said try it. If it is effective unless increase the level of your active surfactant.
-
@Miassa your pH seems good, the active surfactant level seems low but may be can work just try it and see if it is effective unless increase the level of your surfactant.
Almond oil have no sense.
Just curious about the viscosity of your product? -
@PhilGeis hhh the data sheet contains list actives . Then I said take a look for parmetol category the second link was just an example.
Preservative without specifying can be for detergent, cosmetic and more. It is a start point to find the desired one. -
@Farah yes about preservative it needs a lot of research to find the adequate one I will make a new discussion for it to be beneficial for all members take a look for it.
-
@Anca_Formulator really interesting question what I can tell you that it is not a rule that the miscibility of two ingredients impose that they have same polarity as example alcohol is miscibile with different polarity… Really interesting to hear more from experts about subject.
-
@Farah that’s nice to share your experience it gives all a way for improvement our knowledge, waiting your up date. About natural preservative may be benzoic acid can be solution. Then your last sentence seems as joke however I couldn’t get it ????
-
-
@Farah I get your justification for using three gums, just you have not any cationic ingredient in your formulation so in this case there is no problem in increasing the level of xanthan gum.
-
@Farah it seems reaction between acacia gum and other ingredient, the question for you why using three gums? I never see such conception and i can’t see any logic justification.
-
@chemicalmatt thanks for the input butylene glycol/glycerin and the most important what will add this for product?
Actually I guess especially dimethicone or other silicone can be beneficial for many reasons for such product but even other proposed ingredients are chosen for reasons . Finally fine to hear from an expert new vision???? -
@Abdullah actually almost water based hair wax contain sush level of Ceteareth and even more and yes it makes hair dry. We can add oils but then we move to other product which is hair cream-wax product and for sure I tried the product.
-
@evchem2 actually almost hair wax contain mpg (your guess is right it is the abbreviation of monopropylene glycol) and the function of it is decreasing the fusion temperature of product for many technicals reasons. Nice answer friend ????.
-
@evchem2 for sure I have specifics purposes for adding ingredient however I didn’t precise to have no oriented answer.
-
@Mell this may help
-
@Diana1234 I guess that ingredients have higher level are water, glycerin,Mandelic acid, flower extract, HPMC
-
@drjayseesunish the ingredients are not bad and the dangerous can come from high acid products.
