@ketchito if I make a try I will tell you i’am thinking about butyl glycol, MPG, peg 40 may dpg also
-
@Abdullah
1)why you will not use DEA COCOAMIDE ?
2) no for perfume (alcoholic) and pq10 is already cationic guar.
3)why it is not recommended to use pq10?@ozgirl the product will be selled in Africa however it doesn’t matter for me, the most important thing is the ethic not the law. However I read a lot of official rapport wich prove the safety of DEA coco amide…

MemberSeptember 17, 2022 at 10:46 pm in reply to: Why is not crystal clear and what is the solution to have crystal clear product?@ketchito actually no I did not tried without peg40 but we decided to make it with sush transperancy.
-
@AyaKhatib for creams @ngarayeva001 is better then me however I guess 1,5% CATC with adequate level of cetearaly alcohol can be stable but is it allowed sush level of CATC in leave in?
-
@ngarayeva001 nice return for you ????, actually i agree with you for points 1 and 3 about emulsifier the combination between (stearic acid, cetearyl alcohol, peg40(solubilizer)) can lead to stable emulsion with that formulation I already heat it and then make it in fridge the emulsion is pretty stable (neutralised Carbomer helps also for better stability)
-
@AyaKhatib I see that your system is easy to thick with just adding slat so why using guar gum?
-
@ketchito actually the combination cetearaly alcohol with cetrimonium chloride can work as emulsifier and can lead to stable emulsion.
@AyaKhatib I don’t think that it is allowed the level of 3% cetrimonium chloride for leave in then I just see only cetearaly alcohol as texture agent. -
@Paprik for sure I made it, actually almost comments are positive about it however I find it greasy then even with dimethicone it still litel bit soaping, the texture is amazing good viscosity and good spreadability. I tried dimethicone for soaping effect and IPM for greasy effect but for me still not satisfied and about humectant just I forgot I already used MPG.
@Abdullah about emulsifier there is no precise ingredient however it is combination (Ctearyl alcohol +Stearic acid +peg40) can do the job of emulsifier
@Paprik actually Stearic acid is a texture agent not to transform it to emulsifier @ketchito if you want it will be TEA with Stearic acid better but as I said Stearic acid is in my formulation just for giving texture. -

MemberSeptember 14, 2022 at 8:01 pm in reply to: Which is best alternative to increase viscosity for such product?@Abdullah I found a lot of commercial shampoo a Johnson, Souplesse wich have main ingrédient CAPB then glucoside may be you got your result because the level of use of ingredients
@ketchito I tried your suggestion it is just perfect good transperancy, acceptable viscosity… So it is really very precious input thanks a lot.
Thanks @Perry @Paprik @”DRBOB@VERDIENT.BIZ” for your comments. -

MemberSeptember 13, 2022 at 9:04 pm in reply to: Why is not crystal clear and what is the solution to have crystal clear product?@ketchito I have I suspect that that the solubility of neutralised Carbomer decrease with the increasing of the concentration of coco glucoside something near to the solubility of Carbomer in alcohol, I will try hot process thanks a lot for the interesting suggestions.

MemberSeptember 13, 2022 at 8:58 pm in reply to: Which is best alternative to increase viscosity for such product?@Abdullah actually i’am developing it (shampoo without sulfate) so no I did not use continually and why you predict That it will be not cleaning properly and very drying?
@ketchito thanks for the input DEA I want shampoo free from sulfate and I have in hand Sodium lauroyl sarcosinate, so may adding it with salt help for viscosity? -

MemberSeptember 13, 2022 at 4:55 am in reply to: Which is best alternative to increase viscosity for such product?@Paprik actually for economical reason and also accessibility i’am trying to keep my ingredients as much as possible , for the moment may I can interduce (sodium cocoamphoacetate, Sodium lauroyl sarcosinate), appriciate your input.
@Abdullah the level of use of coco glucoside is 6%.(what ratio you recommend for xanthan and guar gums)I see in humble and me that carrageenan is more recommended then xanthan gum for cleanser gel.

MemberSeptember 12, 2022 at 6:23 pm in reply to: Which is best alternative to increase viscosity for such product?@RDchemist15 actually I know that almost Carbomer are electrolyte sensitive, just I want to see what it gives then I added slat to see if it will work for adding viscosity but unfortunately I did not (I have some success with system Carbomer,TEA, CAPB, N70 with adding slat it increase viscosity)
I have as reflex xanthan gum, and cellulose so thanks for the input. -
