The dense (tight bubble) foam is coming from myristic/palmitic soap you are forming in-situ.You can either use a versator to de-foam or perhaps first try adding KOH sub-surface with minimal agitation.

I think you should add 2-3% CMA coconut monoethanolamide and use salt if necessary;the latter will shift the salt curve in your favor and the CMA will provide better efficacy.You can test this via the number of plates washed before foam collapses.We used to do in industry for claims support on/versus major Brand/s.

You should be able to add the SA/Propanediol directly into anhydrous serum depending on the oils you are using.Do it and test F/T and 50 C for a couple of weeks.

They likely used P2O5 during Phosphation process which means you have 70/30 mixture of mono and diesters which can easily be added to the oil phase.

The missing 15% must be oil phase?? What is LOI ? But it has to be a big fish eye of Ultrez-try adding glycerin and WH to water and then wet out Ultrez:when fully dispersed agitate slowly heat and add hot oil phase then neutralize last qs to 100% with DEI Water.I don’t see any mystery here so it must be processing.

You have to neutralize Ultrez 10 with a base-Triethanolamine-0,19%

You have to get a powder standard from the supplier and develop HPLC method for your formula.run and test same at 50C in formula four to six weeks and/or three months at 38C. 1000-2000 RPM is plenty for normal oil/water emulsion.Heat both phases to 70C in seperate beakers and add oil to water for o/w emulsion and mix until homogeneous 10-15 minutes.

NO we use a high speed overhead mixer and have made many products using peptides some of which are still on the market.Long term stability has never been an issue.

Most if not all peptides are soluble/dispersible in water and hydrophilic solvents such as glycerine. Can be added at the end during cool down ie<40C.

I am surprised also as these compounds have been around for a long time.First used C18 analog for/in soap/syndet Bar in early sixties which had safety clearances for at least a test market. I think Stepan should submit safety data to CIR and tout it as basis for cleansers in sulfate free arena.

methyl ester sulfonates are safe in Bar Soaps so I would use in Liquid hand Wash but why as they are expensive compared to AOS etc?

DMDMH is broad spectrum and good for categories you listed:use level 0.5%.

K-Sorbate is effective at the Pka of sorbic acid ie 4.76 but the latter discolors in storage .

Difficult to be exact unless one has sophisticated analytical resources ie HPLC—AA-Mass spec etc.Most approximate based on order of LOI.

@ultraduy You are correct they cannot unless dissolved.Why don’t you use Veegum and/or xanthan gum?

@em 88 Use 3-4% wt/wt FLEXTHIX.Takes about 2 hours to dissolve but nice gel and stable at low Ph. Used to be ISP but now Ashland.

Sorry but just saw the above questions.Agree with Bill Toge—.On Zn PCA/PHYTIC Acid question, phytic Acid plays essential role by limiting/inhibiting uptake on Zn,Cu and Fe in the body via complex formation and looking at PA structure speculation suggests that via Phosphate ester groups the latter likely forms most stable Zn complex.I have no data to support that but why use both unless you want to experiment.?
