Carbopol emulsions are stable 5plus years?We have cream which is seven years old and still stable.No water loss in package.Better than surfactants as modifies Rheology and replaces need for HLB system.Love it.

You can add the SF 1 at the end sub surface.The viscosity will be low and if you use low stir/shear a minimal amount of air will be introduced.

Totally agree with Perry and Hops is a gilded Lily as above stated existing not for functionality but marketing Hype. “ Hops is a gimmick. There is nothing special about it beyond it’s story. Any chemical benefit you can get from hops can be achieved in a superior way using an alternative (probably synthetic) compound.”

Avoid all the tackiness you are experiencing and take out all gums and use Carbopol SF 1.You will have to neutralize it with base but no tack upon completion.

Sodium silicate is an inorganic compound which decomposes environmentally after use.Used mainly as corrosion inhibitor/builder in Laundry Detergents-no comment on hair although I saw the hair growth test on hairless mice.Example of organosilicone would be decmethylcyclopentasiloxane and elastomers based on siloxanes but cannot comment on best blockers which are likely the elasomers/film formers.

Your problem is most likely due to air and foam:in addition cellulosics like HEC form a film at the foam /air interface making the problem more difficult.Try making a stock solution of HEC and adding sub-surface during cool down.

@Chemist5000 Zno should work at 1-2% but you have to look at monograph as it is OTC drug used in diaper rash.Whats with the picture?
