@Jeff2000 @EVchem I have also seen formulators using tween 80. I thought they were using to mix perfume and finally to achieve clear gel.
What is your area ? If I am wrong please correct me.
I am also getting the same issue.
    Thanks.

Thanku @rodb1958 for such kind information but now I only have TEA so I am trying to make out with this neutralizer. I will also try AMP - Carbomer after purchasing AMP😊

    Thanks @Padmavathi
Do I need hot water or cold ? Once I have tried to sprinkle carmomer over normal water but it turned into lumps that dint solubilized. Carbomer doesn’t dissolve in water and alcohol but what I am getting are LUMPS.
Still thanks I will try again to get it right with hot Water and will show you my results.😊
    Thanks again.

Hello, @nikolatesla23, your total Surfactant matter seems less. By increasing the total surfactant, you can achieve more foam.

First of all, convert all the quantities to percentage so readers can have a better idea..And of course for a better judgement.

What was the color of LABSA before adding it to the mix ? Neutralized  LABSA gets yellowish colour and if not neutral, it could be brownish. …I think. .May be this could be a possible reason.

@Cafe33 u think you need not to use  Benzalkonium chloride here as you are already using grrmall Plus. Above this , benzalkonium won’t go right with SLES as both are opposite in polarities..
    My thoughts..Welcome for  any corrections

Why soda Ash in this formula. I think NAOH will work better than soda ash.

@Amittal along with LABSA, SLES will solve the cleaning problem as SLES also works well on the grease. Increase the amount of SLES in your recipe and then tell us.
BkC will not go well with LABSA and SLES as Ozgirl says.

Methyl Paraben: Propyl Paraben can be used in the ration of 3:1 or 2:1
0.2% parabens should be enough, still you should verify this with stability tests.

    Thank you em88

@Amittal you can replace it with CDEA or CMEA.

I sent out four emails to you who requested it but they all came back undelivered.  When you download a link to a site onto your desktop you get an .html link and a folder with files in it.  You click on the link and it gets you to that page on your browser.  Because we all aren’t able to use the previous link I posted it would seem that we are blocked.  The files I have do get you to that page only where you can download the book, chapter by chapter but I can’t email them to you and have to actually get them!  The 13 files are large, up to 69MB.  Sorry I don’t have a solution right now!

@David thanks WhatsApp would probably work. If you Would whatsapp me the copies that you have then my no is +919993825253..thanku so much again

I agree, 1% parabens is far too much and the ratio of methyl:propyl is way off.

@Belassi thank You so much. What should be the correct ratio for methyl to PROPYL PARABEN ?

I did an experiment to see if it is true that glycerin reduces foam in a shampoo. I made identical shampoos, except one contained 3% glycerin. There was no difference in foam profile.

@Belassi infa t Susan Barclay writes, in her Articles, that GLYCERIN Increases the bubble size.

chirag: Na2 EDTA does fine at 0.10% unless you have REALLY hard water. Do not use either SalAc or triclosan, but do use p-chloro-m-xylenol (PCMX) at 0.50%, then you will not only have an anti-bactierial soap but you won’t need another preservative. If using PCMX, optimum pH should be in the range of 8.0 - 8.5. Also, drop the glycerin. Completely. Why formulators continue to place glycerin into surfactant cleansing products is beyond me. All it does is decrease foam, viscosity and body and does nothing else. I guess they think it remoisturizes or something? Not while it is flowing down the shower drain. Remoisturizes sewer cockroaches, then?

Chemicalmatt thanks for Taking time out. If I avoid GLYCERIN then which in ngredient can be used to moisturize our hands. Can we use Polyquates ?

    1) Tetrasodium EDTA is used for clear products and basic products (above 7). Disodium EDTA is a stronger chelator and used in acidic products. So, if you are formulating a surfactant with pH >7 and you want it to be transparent use Tetrasodium.
    2) not competent in this area.
    3) Parabens are used with various surfactants.
    4) Germaben II that consists of: Propylparaben, methylparaben, diazolidinyl urea, propylene glycol, has effective pH range of 3-7.5. It’s temperature sensitive and should be added to the cool down phase.

    Thanku for answering the questions.
To my 2nd ques you have said that both the Salisylic Acid and Triclosan are not Compatible in this area. But some Formulations include these including Reckitt benckisers Dettol. If not these than which Antibectarial Agent should II prefer ?

@AZiz:while Salt is used to improve the Viscosity, some formulators use Urea. What is the purpose of using Urea here?

@Ola_Chem I am also learning how to make Liquid Dishwash Product and As far as I have learned I think in your Formulation the actives are very LOW…IF you increase the concentration of SLES you may get the desired viscosity.

Add 1-2% CDEA in d formula rhen see if you get  some Viscosity..The water content in your formula is quite high hence why there is no use of Preservatives ?
