An ultrez might work here, check Lubrizol site. They have plenty.

A normal carbomer wouldn’t be of use here, use which can stand electrolytes while maintaining the clarity.

Lubrizol lists some great formulations of this kind. You will a lot of help there.

Apart from a difference in selection of surfactants and adding some fairy dust claim items, it is INDEED a cleanser. You already have explained yourself perfectly, someone on this forum used a word ‘puffery’. This finds the best use here.

This is more of a cosmetic product component and I am not sure if there would be studies showing uses of walnut/apricot shells being used in medicines.

With dimethicone you will lose clarity, else it is one of the best.

The pour temperature is very high as you know, but still if you want to try then go with ethanol. That is more of a personal care solvent, IPA not so.

That would be too risky for any supplier to post. Online repackers/traders are probably the only ones where the prices are mentioned.

If it is about that pomade thing, then trust me only the process can help. Nothing else seems to help, manually ethanol/IPA buffing at the surface makes it free from bubbles/aeration. There might be little effect but it is just not worth it.

There seems to be a dead end when it comes to straightening hair with maximum effect without the presence of formaldehyde during hot ironing. There have been few new things but I am not very sure how they perform comparatively. The dosage recommended by FDA compared to actual being present is always different in most of these products. I was referring to those cases where they have made wrong claims related to formaldehyde and which are one too many. I agree with you that there are products those follow FDA guidelines and completely ethical but they are either too mild for such treatments or not too visible. The customers expect a 6 month effect after one such treatment and I am not sure how that would be possible by following the legal limit. I would be interested to know of such products which are equally effective while sticking to FDA guidelines and hence I stated above that maybe I have not looked in the right direction. -

MemberOctober 12, 2018 at 3:07 pm in reply to: Need formulation services for keratin hair smoothening systemI haven’t come across a true product in this line until now, formaldehyde/or its precursors are used in one form or other under the disguise of this and that. It is a very profitable line, I have seen people making tons of money but the ethics are completely missing.
Or maybe I haven’t been looking in the right direction where the hair can be straightened without the use of formaldehyde release during treatment. -

Fekkher there is this ester C12-15 alkyl benzoate which @chemicalmatt always mentions in his posts on such issues. Try it, may work better than IPM.

Skipping Lonza, I would say Ajinomoto is extremely expensive and what I see is a HC product in the picture above. Check Croda, I remember seeing one of these products in their portfolio. And I remember it was for HC application.
-
Try Phenyl Trimethicone @0.5-1%, a bit expensive but might work.

MemberOctober 5, 2018 at 5:50 pm in reply to: Does Sodium or Potassium oleate really inhibit foam?Try potassium cocoate and you will see the change in foam profile. An optimized formulation has a right amount of soap for suds control. Have done it with my LLD and once I overshot it, there was absolutely no foam in presence of a high amount of surfactants.

MemberOctober 5, 2018 at 1:16 pm in reply to: Thickener for clear low pH exfoliating cleanser?@em88 bang on money here, Methocel 40-101 would be a great choice I suppose. Need slight neutralization, and back acid neutralization is much easier without any loss of viscosity. I have based my comments on a trial for hand sanitizer free of water ethanol having CHG. Cellulose are a liitle slimy in application IMO but they can be worked around as well. Did a beard wash with HEC and an APG, worked fine.

I doubt that and this is strictly my personal opinion based on my trials and experience.
