Have tried using it in the past and got what @chemicalmatt just mentioned. For me it’s a big no for carbomer only based formulations.

@Perry That ‘Hot Oil Treatment’ farce is still a rage in MENA region. In fact so much that few big names started the same product, they toed the line for ‘Snake Oil’ as well looking at the demand here.

Of course at times Google books help a lot but again it’s all about the time one spends in the lab.

This forum is for guidance, hand outs generally are prohibited for this kind of platform. Please make some trials and then ask your questions, simply asking for formulas will not get you any help.

Check with Pilot Chemicals, Colonial Chemicals. There are many more but it all depends on your final budget cost and the quality you are targeting.

LABSA 96%, Alkali, Cocamidopropyl dimethylamine oxide, preservative, colorants, sodium chloride

Try Kumar Organics or Salicylates & Chemicals from India, not sure though where you are located. They can sell 25 Kg by air.

@Perry the article is a mockery of science, further a perfect situation to sue and bare them naked for such blatant lies and audacity.

Don’t forget to homogenize though, as for vessels watch out for leaching.

Done Clive and my very best to you.

Yeah agreed on peg-7 gc, how i overlooked it!! Have been doing that pomade based on water and had to get rid of it as it was clouding the solution. Amigo Belassi bang on money here, but Peg-40 hco can be used to solubilize fragrance as I do it without issues.

Tocopheryl Acetate is oil soluble component, chuck it out.

Post your query and let’s see if we can help you, I am working with H&I and if it falls in my scope then you are in luck.

MemberJanuary 8, 2017 at 10:46 am in reply to: Dodecylbenzene sulfonic acid sodium salt Vs. Alkylbenzene Sulphonic Acid@Ameen I have done the gel with LABSA, but honestly it had to be neutralized as well in the formulation. The final pH, IIRC, is around 5.5 and it is a pain to adjust the pH with acid. Lucky you are to work with the LABSA salt directly, mind the the thickener here is PINE OIL.

Come on Jojo, its almost 4 years.

Please check this forum, there have been so many discussions on this subject. Few ppl including me have posted the finished formula for this product here a few days ago. But I stay away from synthetic and natural debate, not my cuppa.

Agree with John here as in my case when I contact suppliers they are more than willing to cooperate without restricting number of sample requests.

Gravity will always be in action whether you increase buoyancy or not. Even the addition of polymers and thickeners only delays the fall to the bottom. In absence of a suitable polymer it would be comparatively faster. There are certain Aculyns from Dow, aeration will be much less compared to Aqua SF2 but the final pH adjustment is little on a higher side comparatively.
