@Prasad very audacious, but please note this forum guides but never feeds formulations. There is a huge database on ulprospector and you can find all the information there apart from many other sites.
Google + xyz and you have millions of results.

@Doreen81 hence I never recommended any supplier, nothing short of a pallet as MOQ. Abundant though in Far East too.

Sorry @”DRBOB@VERDIENT.BIZ” it was meant for the initiator as it was a request without any mention of location.

  • What was the question again?????

That looks like a copy paste from an LOI of some similar product. As @Belassi said, run a few trials and then come up with the questions.

It is a glass cleaner basically with a very little amount of surfactant (an APG since no residue should remain on glass surface), even a smaller amount of water soluble ethoxylated silicone, an anti-foam (again extremely low dosage), an evaporating solvent like Dowanol PnB, preservative, fragrance, water (the vehicle).

@Chemist5000 identical properties would be difficult to expect, every molecule is unique. IMO the base of invention of such replacement products started with bad publicity/scaremongering in most of the cases. As technial people the onus falls on us to explain/educate the customers that a natural (or so and so free) chemical cannot be expected to impart same properties as the original one. A compromise on certain features would be the best approach to start with and the same has to be conveyed to the customers who come up with such PD requests.

Depends on the properties/benchmark you have in mind. Second most important would be the budget cost which in certain regions including mine is unfortunately the starting point.

Add in a little argan oil, Vitamin E Acetate, IPM, IPP, caprylic/capric triglyceride. The list is just endless including the lipo soluble numerous extracts.

Get well soon @Belassi, my dad had it almost 17 years ago and he is still fit as a fiddle.

The final pH stood around 6.2-6.3. Aculyn 22 is a 30% polymeric emulsion and so you need to neutralize it. In my case the pH was already neutral with surfactants so it was just a minor adjustment.

I use Aculyn 22 and it has worked great for me in my formulation based on Iselux SFS.

Dr. Bob I completely overlooked that possibility, absolutely agree with your suggestion.

Anti foam silicone emulsions,  glycols, soap like potassium cocoate,  etc.  Depends what’s the product here and how much foam reduction you are targeting.

Iselux SFS SB??? Then you can use Aculyn 22, although the literature mentions salt as well in small increments.

@sven you don’t need heating to dissolve Polyquaternium 10. Just disperse in water and neutralize with an alkali, it will immediately become clear and viscous. Later you can adjust the final pH of the formulation. Not sure which grade you are using, I use Polymer JR 400.

@em88 it is purely a guess, since pH is involved and the only logical point is presence of a component responsible for pH drop.

No in that case no @Belassi, I mentioned that for my other surfactant based preparations.

I use digluconate salt as anti bacterial agent, never as a preservative though. Can it be used as a preservative @DAS since I still use a preservative in presence of Digluconate.

  • Ah a little drop in temperature and it’s all lumped out. Not that I discourage it but I felt 20 ethoxylate worked out better and I never had to use solubilizers as well. Just 2.5% Polysorbate 20 did the job for me.

  • I have found ceteareth-20 @30% levels working great in such formulation, ceteareth-25 was a pain to work with. Though I never used so many solubilizers there, propylene glycol and glycerin worked fine @ combined level of 10-15%.
