Will do that right away….thank you!!

Chelates in general boost antimicrobial efficacy but they don’t turn a poor preservative into a great one (not saying that optiphen is weak).
Thank so much. I actually thought gluconolactone is effective when it comes to mold/fungi. Thanks for the clarification. Can you please advice what I can pair with otiphen for a leave in spray to help improve preservation against mold/fungi.

Have you tried Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate or Sodium C14-16 olefin sulfonate. These work nice as primary surfactants with SCI as a co-surfactant.
No I haven’t used them though I have heard a lot about sodium c14-16 olefin sulfonate. Will look out for them . Thank you so much for your contribution and time. I really appreciate.

oh Waow!! Thank youMarkBroussard said: was really helpful
@Blossoms:Yes, you certainly could pair SCI with one of the Glucosides as co-surfactants. The glucosides are safe, but do cause irritancy in 1% of the total population. Since so much focus was placed on Decyl Glucoside as “Allergen Of The Year” a couple years back, you might want to use Coco-Glucoside instead. How much Coco-Glucoside to use all depends on how much SCI you are using and the desired viscosity of your end produt … the glucosides are notoriously difficult to thicken. But, something in the 5% to 10% range should be fine.

Stick with standard nonionic emulsifiers. So, with that been said, is it safe to use in rinse off products since reports stated allergens happens more in leave on products with glycosides…

@Perry owww sorry I meant I usually add the oil phase into the water phase but I decided to try melting the conditioning agent e.g. btms. With the water phase before adding my oils and I found it to be whiter and creamy than melting my btms and cetyl alcohol with oils and butter.

I need some help with my coconut milk shampoo and conditionerIn the country where am from its definitely for marketing reasons, people over here buy with their eyes and this is based on the psychology of what the market sells to them, though the basic ingredients of making a shampoo and conditioner are still intact, but to make the product draw the interest of buyers/my target audience I have to give them what appeals to them, that’s just the psychology.
