Much appreciated Bob! The containers are not sealed so I wouldn’t be wrong thinking this will happen on the shelves.

FYI… I’m not sure why but all your threads come in triplets.
Also, I may have a solution for you that will save you a lot of time and headache and hopefully you can start your sales rather than spending time formulating.Visit this link: -

Just consider signing a very very strict contract with them. I had one of them trying to screw me over because she bought a cream base from my company and then decided to make it more ‘effective’ by lowering the pH to 3.5. Brought back the drum and blamed the bad chemist. -

Also, where are you based and can you manufacture yourself or just do the formula? -

MemberJuly 2, 2015 at 1:22 pm in reply to: Help formulating petroleum jelly like productYou will have to retain the services of a formulation/cosmetic chemist to look at this formulation for you. I worked on a similar post-laser facial balm and it was a very very challenging product, both in terms of the process (formulation and production) and regulation.
I suggest working backwards, depending on your selling countries and look at the regulations. It will save you a lot of headache later on. -
It’s there as a pH adjuster without much other benefit.
-
Should be OK to add. Hyalauronic is water soluble and your formula is water based.

It’s not a simple question of what can or can not be mixed with what. Even if it was that simple of question, you need to realize that you’re asking for an expertise that you don’t have and the chemist has worked hard to gain. You have to pay for that expertise. -

Lactic acid is not used for exfoliation as I really doubt the hair or scalp would need exfoliation. My guess is that actic acid is part of one of the blends.
Use citric acid to adjust your pH. It’s more than effective. -
I agree with Belassi. Night products are traditionally heavy and oily. Jojoba and avocado would be my choices.
Also, unfortunately, clogging and skin breathing are words that have arisen through our marketing departments rather than through science and chemistry. In fact, they’re both completely meaningless so I don’t have any suggestions for those. -
I think the reason you’re not getting a reply is because TFM is not a known abbreivation to us. I personally don’t know what it stands for.

My best suggestion based on the ingredients is using lanolin wax instead of lanolin oil. It will give you the texture you need.

What is your formulation? And why would you want to run HPLC on the rest of the ingredients? What do you want to find?
As I know, HPLC separates a fairly ‘clean’ mixture into its components and quantifies those components based on a single factor. So you run your plant extract through and look for, say, menthol. Is that correct? Now the rest of your ingredients, either don’t contain menthol, correct? So what would the HPLC detect? -
Dip nails in food coloring! And tell us out it goes.

Copolymers are synthetic polymers. There’s nothing natural about them.
But that being said, what is the formula you are following? We can help you trouble based on your formula. -
Could be mold? I have a similar system that’s very prone to growth, even when preserved with Optiphen plus.

Why wonder what others are biased about? Don’t wear short sleeves and nobody will know.
The scientific industry is quite conservative, as I understand are most other industries so why jeopardize a good opportunity. -
Just to jump in here, we’re mostly chemists so our opinion would be on the chemistry of this compound, and our interest would be in remaking it or making it into something better, rather than purchasing it for use.
That being said, I had a customer asking about Olaplex a while ago. I checked their patent and BIS-AMINOPROPYL DIGLYCOL DIMALEATE ingredient and from what I understood it makes bonds with the proteins on the hair surface to re-claim the integrity that peroxides take-away. -
Where would the products be made in? Country of origin?
