    Selenium Sulfide settled down at bottom.
    My formula is as under.
    Selelnium Sulfide-2.5%
    SLES, COcodine, Cocobetaine Silicon oil, PG, BHT, BHA, Sod. Citrate, Citric acid,
    GHPTC, Perfume , EDTA, PArabens, HPMC-0.5%, Water.

    It is true as a preservative limit is 1% in pharma in india.
    But as @em88 & @perry 3% can be used as solvent    
    Link shows more than 3% make irritation.

    At PH  6.5 to 7. Ketoconazole is stable. but Will SA work at this pH.
    What pH should be maintained of  SA shampoo to work SA.

    actually we made selenium sulfide + Clotrimazole shampoo.
    But found clotrimazole unstable. It became blackish after a year.

    Actually our is medicated 2.5% USP topical suspension (shampoo). 
    Is Bantonite useful/necessary  in this product?
    is Use of HPMC, Magnesium Aluminium Silicate  useful?
    Well i saw material  Di hydrogenated  Tallow Phatlic acid amide. Why this is used?
    Our product is Shampoo base. so SLES, CocoBetaine and cocoamydobutone, Citric acid, Dimethicone are my main ingredients.

    Luliconazole 1%
    ceto steryl alcohol, cetomacrogol 1000, paraffins (Jelly), parabens, Propylene glycole, Benzyl alcohol.
    Actually it dissolve in Benzyl alcohol. but benzyl alcohol is 1%. can we use more than 1%?
      It dissolve in Dimethyl solfoxide. can we use in formulation?

    @em88 we dissolve it in con hcl. after dissolution we dilute it.
    maintain final product at pH 6 to 7.
    we purchased SA & ketoconazole combination prodct from the mkt which has 6.5 pH.

    @em88  ketoconazole shampoo is stable as per you mentioned pH 7.
    we got tested after two year.
    but with SA is challenging.

    Ketoconazole 2%
    Salicylic acid 2%
    this shampoo is running good in india for dandruff.

    Any idea?

    glycolic acid formulation has 3 to 4 ph.
    While arbutin work good at 6 ph.
    how to formulate of this  combination?

    Try sodium  Metabisulphite It makes cream whiter.

    cm 1000 is ceto macrogol & EGMS - Ethylene Glycol Monostearate .
    I use D.M. Water.
    Will use of Sodium Metabisulphite increase stability?
    The cream became brown first & than Blackish from the end of tube.
    I have also added Methyl Paraben & Propyl papraben.

    when you work with SLES try Nacl . it might work as thickener.

    If you want to make herbal oil. you should try oil soluble amla, bhrami, bhrungraj ext. you can also try little menthol, camphor.

    It is packed in Lami. tube. & it has also a leakage problem.
