thickener and surfactants relation .. need a help :( :/
could anyone help me .. when I used cocamidopropyl betaine 10.5% and plantapon SUS (disodium lauryth sulfosuccinate ) 16.5% as a surfactants and used Natrosol 250HR as a thickener after two days it’s precipitated .. what should I do to stabilize it .. note I don’t want to use SLS anymore.

I used the thickener 0.75% … is it need to be increased ?? or using another thickener in addition ?

Remove HEC, otherwise you will have to fish gel portions from the shampoo.
You can use SLES instead of SLS.
There are many thickeners you can use in the last stage of preparing your shampoo. One is glucamate doe 120, haven’t used as I requested a sample and never arrived lol, or stepan mild gcc.
NaCl will thicken as-well, unless you want a very thick shampoo.
Acid also will thick the shampoo (HCl solution, or Citric Acid) -
I suspect HEC precipitates in the presence of sulfuric, but haven’t proved it yet. Or this precipitation is due to the bad homogenization process. In your case I don’t think so, due to the fact that both of surfactants you use are liquid.

You can use Methocel E4 premium at 1-2% (HPMC) Salt will not thicken your surfactant combo.

Or Glucamate VLT, a wonderful thickener with great sensorials. If you can bear the price.

Same experience with @em88 . I prefer use Carbopol Aqua SF-1.

sodium benzoate could be a preservative in a shampoo or not recommended ??

Sodium benzoate 0.4% and pH <=4.5, never had a problem.

when you work with SLES try Nacl . it might work as thickener.

okay well, now I Used HEC ( Natrosol 250HR) I dissolve it in water and added other components , and when I want to add excess HEC it didn’t dissolve and form a viscous layer at the top

Try to heat the shampoo at ~ 60 C and see if that layer on the top dissolves.
You may have not enough water in the formula.
As I suggested, you should remove HEC
