Well, Im making a hair pomade and Im using PVP k30 as the fixative component. I was wondering what would be the difference in the fixation if i used PVP/VA copolymer knowing that its liquid instead the PVP k30 that is dust.

Since it is used as a film forming as well, it should have the property to make the hair more shiny and glossy

PVP is a good all-around syling gel ingredient

the main downside is that being water soluble it becomes sticky under humid conditions, although this solubility also makes it easy to wash off, unlike VA.

VP/VA copolymer is more water-resistant and flexible, meaning it’s less prone to flaking
