    Greetings.

As the tittle says, I want to Know if anyone has tryed an vibrationant viscosimeter, and if is there a big measurement difference between regular brookfield and vibrationant.

Im willing to buy  one, based mainly on availability in my country and PRICE,     not for lab or Alike puporse, I need it only to check the viscosity of my own shampoo that can have a tolerance of 0-300cps with out being a big problem, by the way, the fórmula of the shampoo includes 0.6% of xanthan gum Wich it seems that behave as pseudoplastic fluid.

I would appreciate if anyone could give me pros or/and cons, experiences,  of those viscosimeters.

I looked into it a while back, but could never justify the purchase since it will not produce readings identical to a Brookfield, and Brookfields are used everywhere. Once you have more than a few months of Brookfield data, it has always seemed like a waste to toss that aside for a different viscometer, and running side-by-side comparisons was seen as a waste of time also.

OMG I am so primitive compared to you guys. I just use a rising bubble in a graduated cylinder! I don’t need actual calibrated readings.

Agree with using a Brookfield w/o complicating things as measurements have been reliable.

    Thanks you all,

As @Belassi i dont have a calibrated reading, im ussing right now a ford cup reliable, but the results are not satisfying.

On the other hand brookfield viscometer worth arround +2000$, and there arent any available arround here. Besides that i just want to verify if all the shampoo batchs has the same viscosity

Apart of producing diferent measurement compared to brookfield @Bobzchemist had you used one?

No, never could get the money.

Have you looked for used brookfields on ebay?  For example https://www.ebay.com/itm/Brookfield-Synchro-Lectric-Viscometer-/263169794571
