Using denatured alcohol in a w/o serum, when do you add the water and alcohol; at what phase?
I am attempting to make an oily serum for hair. I don’t want the serum to make the hair too greasy because the hair needs to be able to be straightened after application.
I’ve decided to use denatured alcohol to decrease the greasy residue but I cannot find any information on the usage level of denatured alcohol in a water in oil serum/oil formulation. I have not created the draft formula because I don’t know how much and at what phase to add the water and denatured alcohol. Let me know what you guys have done with this type of formulation in the past, it would be greatly appreciated!

maybe you can look into w+alc/o sunscreen formulation.
