    Hello again,
Here I am trying to sort things out with cosmetics manufacturing.
What do you advise for a ‘homemade’ stability test? I was thinking about something like: leave the flask at 45ºC for 2 days, then leave on the sun (yes, in Portugal there is a lot of sun. ) then maybe put it in the freezer for 2 or 3 days.. so on.. I can make a procedure like that and have a control sample in a glass packaging (my packaging is PET).
Then for viscosity tests: Viscosimeters are quite expense for this phase of my project - what are my ‘home made’ alternatives?
    Ãny thoughts?
    Thank you very much!

That would not lead to any reliable conclusion at all. Also stability tests are made in the original packaging and take time, not 2-3 days….
You can do the freeze and thaw cycle test at home I guess.
Regarding viscosity, you will not find the viscosity value, but you can do it by comparison and see how it changes over the time.
I’m not so sure what do you mean by “cosmetics manufacturing”, but considering what you are posting it seems kind of dangerous things what you are going to get yourself into….

Hello, thank you for your reply.
I guess its just a matter of language.. im portuguese.
What I am doing so far is producing emulsions/creams in a small scale lab.
I am researching to get my products better and solve some issues I have so far.
My questioning about these tests is that I am already thinking that I want to sell the creams and for that I need to comply with some ISO rules here in the EU. One of those is that you need to have a stability testing and state the viscosity of your products etc..
I am trying to do this in a first stage and trying not to spend much money

I’m sure there are many companies that can do stability tests for you. You will need microbiology tests as well. I don’t think viscosity is requested. You should consider scale up procedures too.
