  Sodium metabisulfite for disinfection/cleaning purposes

  I’ve seen a sodium metabisulfite solution recommended for cleaning or disinfecting. Is it more effective than isopropanol?

  It’s different. Metabisulfite is a strong antioxidant and I doubt that it’s great for disinfection. Regarding cleaning, it all depends what you want to clean .
