    Hi all,
Just wonder what your criteria on processing(clean/sanitize/sterilize) your packaging in production. The bottles are well packaged, visually clean and my supplier told me that they are not sterilized. My product is facial cleanser and I am debating because its labor intensize.
    thank you for your help!

Plastic or glass doesn’t (usually) feed bacteria
so even spraying or rinsing them with 70% alcohol and allow to evaporate can reduce most viable bacteria (albeit it may not work with enveloped viruses)
    Repeat for additional effectiveness.

Hydrogen peroxide works too, but takes longer to fully evaporate.
You’d need some microbiological testing to see which one do you need.

Simple washing gets rid of most bacteria and viruses though.

@usanutrilab, you should not need to sterilize those bottles if they came from a reliable supplier and packed intelligently. I assume your cleanser is preserved adequately.

Hello, I am not familiar with facial cleanser, but could you add a preservative? Most commercially available bottles are “clean” and if your product as a preservative, problem solved.
Here the only bottle we “wash” are for sterile products.

@Max  my product has a preservative and I just rinse my bottles just to be safe.
