Hi, in search of a more ‘mild’ amphoteric surfactant to blend with my nonionic shampoo. Not sure if it exists…but I’m looking through the options.

CAPB - As a person with highly sensitive skin, I’m aware CAPB has potential contaminants ( also potential harm to aquatic life).
Cocomidapropyl Hydroxysultaine - I’ve tried, but I think it’s giving me the itches.
Sodium Cocoamphoacetate - I read may have potentially interfere with the body’s ability to create lymphocites (further research needed)
Coco Betaine - I’ve heard is more irritating that CAPB, but less chemically processed.

What are your experiences with Sodium Lauroamphoacetate, Coco Betaine, or potentially other amphoterics?

Perhaps ill just eliminate amphoterics altogether and stick with just nonionic
