Insect Repellent Product
Posted by Marky on February 3, 2020 at 10:51 pmHello - We are a relatively new veteran-owned business seeking help. We want to enter the insect repellent market with a product that is exempt from FIFRA regulation. We are therefore looking for either a private label situation or to work with a formulator. Please reach out to us by email at mtskin557@gmail.com if you can assist.

GuestFebruary 20, 2020 at 5:02 amHello Marky, i have a compound that could be added to a fragrance which then added to a FIRFA exempt formula that will give some good efficacy. Usage is ~0.05% -0.1% and is natural extract produced here in Aus. Would work with eugenol as its emempt for example. I can manufacture a (fragrance) concentrate for you to add to a product such as a gel or spray.

Lavender oil . I usually use lavender flowers to repellent mosquitoes at our deck in the summer time. Smell good and repellent mosquitoes.

We also have a benchmark product that we are looking for a formulator to reverse engineer. If anyone is interested please contact us at mtskin557@gmail.com

From our experience one of the best repellents is Lemon-scented Eucalyptus (Corymbia citriodora) . We produced a simple effective relellant using Corymbia citriodora.
Well researched, for example, J Am Mosq Control Assoc. 2006 Sep;22(3):507-14.
PMD, a registered botanical mosquito repellent with deet-like efficacy.
