  • hand soap and slippery feeling

Posted by Michelle76 on August 25, 2020 at 3:01 am

My hand soap leaves a slippery feeling on the hand. How can I eliminate this problem? The formula is: Zemea, PG, salicylic acid, sodium lauroamphoacetate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, preservative, fragrance, citric acid.
    Thanks in advance

Without percentages it is hard to tell but if you are trying to solubilise salicylic acid you might be using a lot of Zemea and PG and these can contribute to that feeling.

I have reduce the salicylic acid to 0.35 from 0.5 so I had to use only 3% zemea and not the PG. then I adjust the pH to 6.5 and it works great :). Thank you so much.
I am just not sure if 0.35 salicylic acid is enough to give the soap antibacterial property

Hi @Farrukh, Can I ask a question. Why adjusting the product pH can improve the feeling?
