I was introduced to it recently when a rep from Bumble and Bumble came to our spa to introduce their Scalp Detox product. Lots of cracking upon application. It was kinda cool.

This got my attention too - its not often I click through those ULProspector links. I am assuming the concept is designed to capitalise upon the Korean bubble mask craze that went viral last year?

I had a few questions about it.

    1) The need to add warnings about application order due to the extremely low ph of the gel (ph2) strikes me as problematic?  If the acid gel and base cream  were packed in seperate bottles I wonder if the gel would even meet EU regs? I am thinking a dual chamber pump bottle would be required.

    2) The base cream (at ph 8.2) - what preservative could be used?

    3) Wouldn’t the reaction produce salts that maybe cause the finished cream to have poor rub in?

The Bumble and Bumble product sound interesting however.
