Has anyone tried this? I see some creams on the market. I will say this, I have been taking it as a supplement and my skin tone has improved, not only that but lab tests showed a big reduction in creatinine levels and also cholesterol.

Thanks, Belassi. I’ll look into this for an anti-aging facial project I’m working on. ALA is not very expensive either. I couldn’t help reading the paper adjacent using chitosan-methylcellulose as a sustained release medium. Alpha lipoic acid would go well into that vehicle.

I have had this paper sitting in my files for a while now,  looks like it was done on behalf on skinceuticals and this is just on antioxidant activity. I’m always interested in papers that publish negative results.  There definitely is a market for the ingredient regardless
