  alpha arbutin vs deoxyarbutin

  Are these the same?  Which is more effective in brightening the skin?  I have seen both.

  I am making a brightening cream.

  Is Deoxyarbutin the same as Alpha Arbutin???

  No, these are not the same. Arbutin is more hydrophilic than deoxyarbutin and alos more likely to be cleaved to hydroquinone by glucosidase enzymes.

  Please what is  the end point of Hydroquinone oxidation
  I.e what compound will be form after Hydroquinone get oxidized
